 Bittersweet for sure!

Now on to 5 Question Friday!

Every week (I try) to link up with My Little Life for 5QF.  She gives a sneak peek on Thursday so you can prepare your post and then she posts the linky Friday morning.  Go link up and join in.

1. Do you apologize to your kids?

I have definitely apologized to my kids.  I think they need to know that I am totally human and make mistakes.  If i was too hard on them for something because of something I was peeved at for the moment, it wasn't their fault and I needed to cool my jets.  I am also a screamer, as much as I hate to admit that.  It takes a bit to get me there, but I do tend to raise my voice more than I would care to admit and I am constantly trying to improve on this flaw.

2. What color are your nails right now?

My name is Liz, and I am a nail biter.  My nails are bare and au natural....and extremely short.

3. When you were growing up, how difficult was it for you to stay home from school sick? (As in, did you have to vomit or just say "I don't feel good".)

My mom stayed home with us until I was in junior high...so it was a bit easier to talk her into why I needed to stay home that day. I would pick an ailment and stick to it like white on rice.  She would try to tell me, when she really knew deep down that I was faking, that I wouldn't be able to watch TV all day, I would just have to sleep.  She never stuck to it though.  And I say the same thing to my kids and don't stick to it either.  I think if she would have been working it would not have been as easy to talk her into it...she would have someone else holding her accountable.  But since she didn't...she was a total pushover in this way. Yay for us!

4. When is the last time you bought a new comforter for your bed?

I bought a duvet cover about a year ago but I still use the comforter I got about 5 years ago, maybe more from my dad and step mom for my Birthday, I like the weight of it and it's easy.  I am not especially fond of it anymore but I am such a cheapo that I don't go out shopping for big items until it becomes completely necessary, like when it becomes threadbare.  Although, I am a sucker for linens on clearance.   But I never find King's on sale, it's always stuff for the kids' beds...go figure.

5. Favorite website(s)?

I have tons of faves but I will narrow it down.

Every week I visit a few chosen sites, some I've mentioned before.

Southern MOMentum (hilarious ladies)
The Working Momaholic (my BFF and she's super witty)
Facebook
Twitter ( I now see why everyone likes it BUT I don't like how impersonal it is.  I have one "real" friend on there, the rest are bloggers and the like.  Fun...yet not very personal)
The Pioneer Woman ('nuff said)
Photobucket or Picnik  (I've enjoyed playing around with editing lately...especially cross process)
Etsy

Now go and link up and have fun following some super cute blogs.

2.  Copy and paste the questions below and post them on your blog along with your answers.
3. Add your name to the linky list and spread the word because this hop is brand spankin' new and needs help getting out there.

*I'm sure it's obvious but....you kinda' need to follow me too. If you're already a follower I am also on Facebook and Twitter (both on my sidebar).

So here we go.....

It's the last few days of school for all three of my kiddos.  We've had a crazy week so far (what? it's only Tuesday?).  I've already attended 1 Swim Day and 2 Awards.  Tomorrow, I have 1 3rd grade field day and 1 6th grade Fun Day (which is at the city park).  While I drag my 4 year old with me....luckily, my little sister in law is coming to steal him away early in the day to give him a break.  So this week, I haven't had much time to dig anything....I'm sure I can think of something.

The library!
It's been a while since we've been and G and I stopped in the other day and of course left with an armful of books...literally I had 20 books in my arms.  We've been reading them over and over and enjoying them at bedtime.  We will definitely be getting back in this routine.  G was dressed as Peter Pan while we were there....so he was able to put a smile on some faces.

The Last Child (John Hart)
I snagged this book on my Nook the other day and haven't been able to put it down.  It's very dark and disturbing on some levels but not as bad as it could have been, thank goodness. You get sucked in to the characters.  One twin is abducted, the other left behind.  People take notice a year later when another girl goes missing.  Mystery and intrigue for sure.  Get your own copy.

You can grab it at Amazon!
 Jeff Jenkins!

He's a local boy on The Voice and he has yet to battle it out!!  We are ready to cheer him on so I'm diggin' Jeff Jenkins!!!  You can find him Facebook and Twitter.

Amazing Etsy Finds!!

Sand and Starfish is a wonderful website and now a funky, boho chic Etsy shop with that fresh beachy feel.  I fell hard for this pleated carry all....it.is.too.sweet.  I want it.  I want to shove beach towels and sunscreen in it.  I want to lug it to the library with all 40 of our books to return and fill it up again.  Cute, cute.  Check her out...fo' sho'.

Now....copy and paste these questions and join in on the fun!

1.  What is your "happy place" song?  The one that makes you smile every time.

2. Do you have a guilty pleasure?

3.  Place that you MUST visit before you kick the bucket?

4.  Summertime is creepin'...what kind of bathing suit are you wearing?

5.  Favorite vacation spot?

...................................................................................................................................

1.  What is your "happy place" song?  The one that makes you smile every time.

Here Comes the Sun  (acoustic George Harrison)...this is a definite.  No hesitation. Love this song.

2.  Do you have a guilty pleasure?

Um...yes.  Teen Mom, 16 and Pregnant, The Real Housewives (of New York or Atlanta), Grey's, Private Practice....and chocolate.  I heart chocolate.  Especially once a month when I find it beneficial to everyone in the house if I have chocolate handy.

3.  Place that you MUST visit before you kick the bucket?

Italy, hands down.  It will happen.  I might be 80 when it does...but it.will.happen.

4.  Summertime is creepin'....what bathing suit are you wearing?

I joined the ranks of tankini moms about 6 years ago when my body decided that it didn't like bikinis anymore and started an all out revolt. The muffin top is kicking (it's probably the chocolate I mentioned above...or the half and half I put in my coffee every morning).  I am always on the look out for the "right" bathing suit for my body type...which would be a muumuu.....I give up on the "right" bathing suit.  I'm sticking to tankinis...because I honestly feel too strapped in with a 1 piece.

5.  Favorite vacation spot?

That would be where my family is....Alabama.  My grandfather lives in South Alabama...or as my dad calls it, LA (lower Alabama).  Which is about an hour and a half away from Panama City Beach and also from my aunt's lake house on Compass Lake in Florida.  I love it there.  I have time with my family, white sand beaches and a beautiful lake.  Love it.

Little Green Books Review and SUPER sized GIVEAWAY

Who knew??  I didn't.  When I ran across Little Green Books by Simon and Schuster I was pleasantly surprised.  Love the idea behind the books and the website.  There is more than just books offered on the site.   Parents and caregivers can find great stuff on the blog and some really cool games for pre schoolers and younger too!  Downloadables, green tips and more really help parents and teachers find fun ways to get kids involved in an Eco friendly way.  They introduce fun characters like Little Green Monster for your kids to fall in love with.  Smartly written and extremely colorful, they catch the attention of even the youngest readers.

Little Green Books are printed with vegetable or soy based inks, made from recycled materials and are 100% recyclable!  I was so happy to see they had books available for little ones (board books) and for a bit older (pre-school and young elementary age).  There are ton of options out there for older kiddos to learn how to help the Earth and the creatures on it but the younger group has been left out...until now.  You can even find lift the flap books to keep them entertained and involved.
G loved these books...his fave was I Can Save the Ocean.  He loves anything to do with sea life and the ocean so this was a big hit and he loved the Little Green Monster.  I enjoyed The Polar Bear's Home as well....this story about global warming was a tug-on-the-heart story that he understood and took to heart.

Peter Pan enjoying his Little Green Book

Yes, I'm THAT mom.

I'm THAT mom....the one that calls the school to make sure that an issue was taken care of.
On Wednesday, my 12 year old son was in the gym after a fun filled day on a field trip including pizza and swimming.  He was playing a game with one of his friends and the ball accidentally smacked a girl in the arm as she walked in between the 2 kids...ball already in air.  All of a sudden, a renegade of a girl came running across the gym....wiffle ball bat in hand and whacked T in the privates, hard.
I'm a mom with 2 sons....this is NOT okay.   A teacher didn't see, that I know of.  And because boys don't like to "tell" when they've been hurt, he didn't let anyone know.  But that was the first thing he mentioned when he got in the car that afternoon.  Let me just say that if the tables had been turned, I would have received a call from the principal and he would've been shoved in ISS fast enough to make his head spin.   This little girl has yet to get in trouble.
I spoke to his teacher on Thursday morning, who immediately let the principal know and unfortunately the girl was absent that day.  I called on Friday morning to see if anything had been done.  Nope, the principal was then out sick.  So, I spoke to the Asst. Principal.  She went to look for the little girl and guess what.....she was off campus at a Student Council swim party!  What a great role model to be on Student Council, huh?  I wish that the girl's teacher would have been alerted Thursday of the matter so the girl would not have been allowed to go on the swim party trip but that didn't happen.  I plan on calling this morning ans making sure she gets in trouble for this.
I know it might seem petty but to me this is important and this kid needs to be an example for girls to know that it is not okay to do this to boys.  Yeah, yeah, we've all been taught that we can make this move for self defense but we know little 12 and 13 year old girls are not using it for self defense.  They are using it as a power move and just to be mean.
I had a friend on my personal Facebook page say that this shouldn't be okay under zero tolerance and also that she had a friend in high school hospitalized because of a girl thinking she was being "funny" by kicking him in the private.  It hurts.  This is painful and should not be a first resort for girls to make a point.  Especially during these early stages of puberty.  I mean, come on!
I just keep thinking that if T had done anything like this girl did, he would be in such huge trouble. But because she is a girl....it will not be as severe.  I whole heartedly disagree with double standards.  I have a daughter too....we don't have double standards in this house.  In T's words:  "These girls at school think they can do whatever they want to us on the playground or at PE or where ever just because they know we've been taught not to hit them back."
As a mom to a girl, I took an extra minute to make sure R knew that this is not an okay thing to do to boys.  At school or anywhere.  We've had the whole self defense talk...this is not about that.
So, I'm curious, have any of you had issues like this with your sons?

Five Question Friday!

Already Friday??  The last day of school for the big kiddos is next Thursday which means there is something happening everyday.  Next week, R has a field trip to the cemetery with her 3rd grade class to place American flags on the veteran's graves with the American Legion post.  A great way for them to understand what Memorial Day means.  Next Tuesday is the last day of school for G man and his "water day" which is always a favorite.  That same day we have T's 6th grade awards. Wednesday is Field Day for R at 8:30 am and T's Fun Day at the local park with sno cones.  Thursday is the last day and also the day for R's awards and her end of the year party....and I have to make a couple dozen cookies.  Whew!  Are you exhausted reading that?  All in the life of a mom.

R woke up at 2:30 am with a fever and upset stomach.  At 8:30 she told me she didn't feel good...bad headache and just a yucky feeling.  I gave her some ibuprofen and also mentioned that she WOULD be going to school (we've had many days where she has prepped the night before to try to stay home from school).  So, needless to say...I felt like the crappiest mom in the world when she woke me up and I could immediately tell she was sick.  Flushed cheeks, clammy hands, wide eyes and willingness to take any medicine to make her feel better.  She was up and down all night, her head was pounding and her stomach sick.  I'm letting her sleep as long as possible this morning...and hoping that it doesn't turn into a traveling a stomach bug.

Now on to more fun things...that don't involve throw up....5 Question Friday!  Link up over at My Little Life to join the fun.  Just copy, paste, answer and post!

1. Do you and your spouse go to bed at the same time?

sometimes.  He works nights sometimes and that's when I find I go to sleep way too late.  I guess I am relishing in all the alone-ness of it all.  Usually we both head to bed around 11.  Does it count when I am still watching TV and he's asleep beside me on the couch?  Because that happens a LOT.

2. A question for the ladies...What kind of facial hair do you like on your man?

I love a goatee!  When B got the job he has now...at a refinery....he had to shave his hunka-hunka-burnin'-love goatee and I literally cried.  Yes, cried.  I loved that goatee, it was part of the wild and crazy kid I fell in love with.  I still miss that thing.  During our 2 weeks of summer vacation he lets it all grow and I love it.  When he had to shave though he did keep his mustache.  So...I guess I can live with that.  Seeing as though he'll have this job forever, I'll have to.

3. What's the worst vacation you've ever taken?

I had a bad part of a vacation.....
Colorado, I was 15 I think....and had some kind of stomach bug.  (I thought I wasn't going to include throw up in the 5QF)....my dad had just married my step mom that year and we were in this amazing condo.  I was sick for a full 24 hours, laying on the bathroom floor dyyyying.  My dad took care of me and I remember catching Pee-Wee Herman's Playhouse on at like 4:30 am.  After that the trip was amazing!  Snow, skiing, my BFF, cute boys, heated pool and hot tub.  Ahhh, the good ol days.

4. What's the first-ever blog you followed?

hmmmm........I checked my blog buttons and it would have to be Blog Giveaways.  I won quite a few things.  I still try to every once in a while when I'm on a kick.

5. Do you enjoy amusement parks?

I LOVE amusement parks!!!  I'm not talking Disney....I haven't been saving enough money lucky enough to go there.  I'm an hour south of Houston, Texas....we had Astroworld growing up.  Loved Astroworld.  It is no longer there.  Such a bummer too because it was the best.  We went all the time, I even had a Birthday party there once.  I love roller coasters!  As a family the only amusement park we go to is Sea World.  Maybe, just maybe, one day we'll make it to Disney.  (Even though I think I would like to try out Universal Studios for the rides)
Oh, AstroWorld...you are missed.

Have fun linking up!  And if you're new to Staying Home and Staying Sane and you feel like following me on Twitter or "liking" me on FB, please let me know.  I will always follow back!!

What I'm Diggin' Wednesday Blog Hop

I decided to turn my humble little What I'm Diggin' Wednesday into a hop!  I'm sure it will take a while to get it going and to get plenty of people linking up but I have patience and hope that it will be fun.  What I'm Diggin' Wednesday used to be a way for me to put out there the things I was really into during the past week.  Now, I'll add a bit of that, encourage you to do the same (pertaining to your blog theme of course) and then I'll add some fun questions because we all know we like to talk about ourselves.  So, let's dig in......(okay that was cheesy)
Once you get to the questions just copy and paste them into your post.  I'm a little late with it this Wednesday but from now on I will have a link up ready on Tuesday night.

I'm diggin' a few things this week....I'm still listening to Otis Redding so I won't bombard you with vidoes of his again.  I will give you this one though, by Sanctus Real, Lead Me.  I love this song, it just brings tears to my eyes.  (What doesn't really?)

This next one is pretty self explanatory.  Once I heard the words "break my heart for what breaks yours" I was a goner.
I am loving the Aveeno Smart Essentials Anti Fatigue Eye Treatment!!  It works!  At least, I think it does, and that's what counts.  My eyes were looking pretty puffy and well...old.  I started using this in the morning and at night along with my moisturizer routine and I really like it.  It feels nice and cool when you are rolling it on.

A steel ball keeps it nice and cool
I downloaded a few books the other day on my Nook Color.  I usually don't go for the (extreme) chick lit books, especially with a cover like this one.  (I know, I know, don't judge a book by a cover, blah, blah, blah) But this one was on sale, and I was low on reading material.  I have been pleasantly surprised by this easy read.  The character has a good sense of humor and the plot is yes, predictable, but cute nonetheless.
Kristan Higgins-Fools Rush In

Fools Rush In
Covers like this usually make me move along, they look like a book meant for someone in the 6th grade
Speaking of the Nook Color......here's another think I never understood until I tried it.  And now I.must.defeat.it.

Angry Birds!!
Now on to the Q & A portion of this hop:

1.  What is your biggest pet peeve?

2.  One pantry staple that your family could not live without?

3.  Favorite piece of clothing....you know the one....the one that you wear at least once a week?

4.  Favorite scripture or mantra that you tell yourself when the going gets tough?

5.  Most hated household chore?

....................................................................................................................................................................

1.  What is your biggest pet peeve?

Most definitely.....people who take themselves to seriously.  You know these people....they can not take a joke.  They like everything to be extremely serious and downcast all the time and think you are beneath them if you don't want to discuss politics or religion all the time.  These are the ones who argue on Facebook and who look for things to be controversial about.  Ugh. get.a.life.

2.  One pantry staple that your family could not live without?

In my house, peanut butter reigns as the King of the Pantry.  My 4 year old doesn't really eat meat....or much else.  So, peanut butter and honey comes to save the day.....way too often.

3.  Favorite piece of clothing?

This would be my vintage Auburn v neck.  When I say vintage, I mean it.  This was my dad's shirt in college and I love it.  It is soft, comfy and can look effortlessly cool with a pair of jeans.

4.  Favorite scripture or mantra?

Be Still and know that I am God...
Psalm 46:10

I need this tattooed on the inside of my hand like a cheat sheet.

5.  Most hated hosehold chore?

The bathroom.  I have 2 sons and 1 husband. Enough said. ick.

Now, link up and have fun!  The only "rules" I have is to follow me and if you feel like it grab the hop button to spread the word.  Because this is the first edition of the hop....I will randomly pick a blog to spotlight next week and I will ask for them to be followed as well.  I want this to be fun....but would love if we could be courteous to each other and encourage one another by leaving a decent comment when we follow or follow back.  You will want to do this if you follow blogs you actually want to read.  If you are already following Staying Home and Staying Sane, I would love it if you could "like" me on Facebook or follow me on Twitter (both are on my sidebar).  The fun part of this is to copy and paste the questions along with what YOU are diggin' this week and then linking up that post.  Like, I said, I am way late with it today but please hop on....

Shrinky Dinks! In 3-D! Review and GIVEAWAY!

Who remembers Shrinky Dinks??  I have to admit that I never had Shrinky Dinks as a kid.  So, when the opportunity to review them popped up I was excited to see what all the hype for the past few decades has been about.  You might wonder why a typically "green" mom would review Shrinky Dinks...what makes them Eco friendly....the #1 reason is because they are Made in the USA!  As an American mom this is important and something we don't see too often.
I was a bit intimidated when I opened the instructions...they were pretty specific.  Being a Shrinky Dink novice I didn't know I would need an arensal of map colors either.  Be sure you have plenty on hand to color with because my sad little array of green, orange, red and blue was not as fun and didn't give G too many choices.  Which is why I will be buying a set of map colors so we can create more.
The instructions just looked intimidating because once I got started it was a cinch.  The fun thing about these new Shrinky Dinks is that they are 3-D.  They have a pop-up feel to them.  We didn't create a real 3-D version today because we were being impatient and wanted to see how they worked.  After my map colors shopping trip I want to create a whole little Pirate world for G.
We picked which items off of the sheet we wanted to create; pirate ship, pirate coin and a pirate.   I colored in the pirate ship and coin while G colored the pirate.  Of course, his pirate has no detail, it's all green because that is what "coloring phase" he is in at the moment.  After we colored in, we traced around with a pencil then I lined a cookie sheet with a paper bag (reusing!) and baked the Shrinky Dinks for 3 minutes, watching them carefully.  Afterwards we laid them out to cool with 2 pieces of folded paper over them to keep them flat.  5 minutes later they were ready to be played with.  They suggest you hot glue or super glue the 3-D pieces but anything permanent is not a good idea with a 4 year old because as soon as you make it that way....they will want it another way.  He was happy and content and ready to make more!

What would a 4 year old say?

I had this interview planned and posted but I wanted to add my adventures from last night.  I took R and G to see Rio last night....such a sweet family movie and awesome music!  After the movie we ran by Kohl's so I could try to return some flip flops that were the wrong size.  Then we got sucked in too sales and took much longer than anticipated.  G was in a great mood though and very helpful.  He was also very talkative.  Well, when a 4 year old gets in a giddy, talkative mood he tends to say everything that pops into his head.  Last night he made a few choice declarations....
1.  As a boy about the age of 8 ran past us G lovingly said...." Ahh, he's so cute and chubby!  Really chubby, Mom.  Did you see that boy?  How cute and chubby he was??"
2.  Walking through another department he saw a girl that worked for Kohl's and she had a short little pixie haircut like his Aunt Brittany.  She really looked nothing like her except she had short hair.  So he says,  "Mom!  That girl looks like Aunt Brittany! "  I nodded my head and continued to walk, then he said louder...." MOM!  That girl looks like Aunt Brittany!!!  Except she's a little uglier than Aunt Brittany!  Aunt Brittany is pretty!"

UGH.  I had to give the loud-enough-where-others-could-hear lecture of let's not talk like that and sometimes we can't say everything that pops into our head out loud.

Oh, 4 year olds.

I asked G a few questions earlier this week.  His daddy had just walked in the door from work, so he was in Daddy mode for a few of these.

  1. What makes you happy?  Daddy!
  2. What makes you laugh?  Daddy! When we wrestle.
  3. What do you know about recycling? to keep the Earth clean!
  4. What do you know about God?  (he put his hands on his hips and furrowed his brow for this one)  well.....He has healing powers, He lives in the world and the bad guys nailed Him to the cross!
  5. Does Mommy ever do anything to make you laugh?  uh....Daddy!
  6. What is your favorite dessert?  Double chocolate vanilla cherry on top swirl  (no clue)
  7. Favorite dinner?  Peanut Butter and Honey fold over
  8. Does Mommy say a certain word all the time?  oo-ee-oo-ah-ah-ching-chang-walla-walla-bing-bang  (okay...I guess I sing the Witch Doctor song a lot)
  9. Why is Mommy's bed more comfortable than yours? Because I love you and Daddy.
  10. What makes Mommy laugh?  ME!
  11. What makes Daddy laugh?  Mommy!
  12. What makes you sad?  Time out!

This was fun to see his answers....feel free to take these questions and have at it with your own little one.

Pre school Graduation is possibly the cutest thing ever....and 5 Question Friday!

So.....THAT took long enough!  Blogger going down totally lost my post on G's graduation, didn't even save it as a draft (grrrr!).  So here's a short and sweet version along with a little 5QF.

The graduation had a Candyland theme and thanks to some crafty mamas (not me) it looked awesome!  We all had a blast, there was plenty of family there to see G celebrate his accomplishments this year.  Although this is Graduation, he still has a whole year to go before Kindergarten...and I am so glad.  I just adore his teacher and she has done a great job with him.  His pre school graduation is basically all the kiddos singing cute songs, letting us know what they are proudest of this school year and they even sing the fight song from our local high school...that the hubby and I both graduated from.  She posts all sorts of cute stuff all over the place and we get to admire how genius our children truly are.

When I grow up I want to be.....Bam Bam. Yep, that's my kid.

The programs are always so cute

Complete with a Dum Dum topiary

My sweet "graduate".

The accomplishment he was most proud of: reading his "baggie" books that his teacher sends home in baggies along with his sight words...he has done awesome with this!

Receiving his certificate for Funniest Guy in Class....not surprised

love.

The mini fam...the big kiddos were at school
And now for 5 Question Friday!

Head over to My Little Life and link up....quick!

1. Tube socks, calf socks, crew, ankle, none?

I usually wear flip flops so it's always NO socks but if I'm wearing "real" shoes......definitely a no show or ankle sock

2. Was your child's (children's) name a mutual decision or was it a debate? If you don't have children, do you plan on giving your spouse a say, or do you have a name you MUST have, regardless if your other half likes it or not?!

My oldest was all me.....and he eventually agreed.  His middle name is his father's middle name though.
My middle.....I found her name in an Anne Geddes book, who I was obsessed with at the time...it's usually a boy's name in England (because of the way we spell it) but I fell instantly in love.  Her middle name is my middle name.
Our youngest was probably the hardest....we had already used both of our middle names and we were trying to still give him a family name so I went with my mom's maiden name in honor of my grandparents and his middle name was in honor of my husband's grandfather.
Anyway....I usually had the veto power....but I definitely took all of his suggestions into consideration.

3. What is your favorite type of weather?

I love, love, love the Spring weather in Texas.  70's and 80's, breezy and sunny.  I love summer too....but let's face it there is part of Texas summers where you feel like your face will melt off if you go outside.  And I'm not talking makeup.

4. If left to your own devices, what time would you wake up every day? (From Sandy at "Pardon My Dust")

Probably 9am.  It's not too late and not too early.

5. Have you bought your cemetery plots yet?

No way, Jose`.  I haven't even fully decided if I want to be buried or cremated yet.

What I'm Diggin' Wednesday

This Wednesday will be a hard one for my family.  My uncle is undergoing a surgery today and I know that we are all very concerned.  A LOT of prayers have been headed upstairs.

That is the #1 thing I am digging:
Prayer
I do not believe in coincidences....I believe in the power of prayer and the mysterious way God works.

Bright necklaces...that are eco friendly.  The perfect accessory for summer lovin'.

56
Made with recycled paper this is the coolest necklace.  It can be wrapped and worn many different ways.  I actually had one of these and adored it...until it broke in a impromptu wrestling match in a moonwalk...don't ask.

Roseate Acai Seed FairTrade Necklace
Fair Trade and bright. Love.

Sherine Necklace
This gorgeous piece is made with felt by-product from a toy workshop! Love it!
You can find all of these necklaces at World of Green....they have a fabulous selection of anything a green goddess could ever need to accessorize.

Army Wives

I love this show.  It is real and total chick flick friendly....I have to have a tissue ready everytime I watch.

Smart and funny women!

One of my faves...Amy Poehler
Parks and Recreation is such a smart comdey and Amy Poehler rocks.

Kristin Wiig...Hilarious and brilliant.  She co wrote and is starring in the upcoming comedy Bridesmaids.

Can NOT wait to see this.
Panama City Beach web cams

We are headed to south Alabama in July to visit my family.  During that time we will head down to the great PCB because it's only an hour and half from my grandfather's house.  I have been homesick like crazy but since my grandfather doesn't have a live web cam...thank goodness.....I've been creeping on the people of Panama City Beach.
Check out how gorgeous..this is last summer.
