That Time of Year

We took the Brownies and Daisies on a field trip tonight to Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart, you say? Yes, but it was a different kind of field trip. We adopted 2 "angels" for Christmas that we shopped for. The girl's troop money paid for it since it is a service to their community. It just really made every worry and care I had go away when I saw all those little girls (12 of them!) searching for the perfect thing for their angel. We picked out a coat, outfit, panties, shoes, socks, hair accessories, shoes, and more than a few toys. Hopefully, this little girl will be pleasantly surprised on Christmas morning when she sees the goodies that the little Secret Santa's gave her. I urge everyone to adopt an unfortunate child this Christmas and definitely let your kids in on it. It makes your heart feel good. It's also nice to remember that although these might be tough times for all of us, someone out there has it worse.
